Looking after your eyes
We provide a thorough, fully comprehensive eye examinations for everyone. Our service is the same whether you are a private or NHS funded patient. Our tests include Fundus Photography, Field of Vision checks, Intra-ocular Pressure Checks, Slit-lamp examination and all of the usual legally required examinations. (*Some tests can be added or omitted depending upon the Optometrist recommendations at the time)
All elements of the examination are explained and the results discussed with the patient to ensure that the patient is fully at ease during the exam.
The following groups of people automatically receive a free (NHS funded) eye exam:
- Anyone over 60
- Children under 16
- Students under 19 and in full time education
- Patients and their partners, who receive -Income Support,
- Income-based Job Seekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Pension Credit guarantee credit
- Tax Credit and they are named on a valid
- NHS Tax Credit Exemption Certificate
- Anyone named on a valid HC2 certificate
- Anyone registered blind or partially sighted
- Anyone who suffers from Diabetes or Glaucoma
- Anyone at risk of Glaucoma (restrictions apply)
- Anyone 40 or over who is a parent/brother/sister/child of someone with Glaucoma
- Prisoners on leave from prison (restrictions may apply)
- Anyone prescribed with complex lenses under the NHS optical voucher scheme
